Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, has been using Wx Horizon to level up its winter maintenance since 2022. Wx Horizon uses in-pavement sensors to enhance road weather forecasts with input from temperature data, the surface condition of the roadway, and the amount of salt on the road. We joined the Cranberry road maintenance crew to install the latest GroundCast in their network. This new sensor is located on Freshcorn Road, an area that sits at a higher elevation and is more remote than other parts of the network.
